Hosting regular classes and workshops in the realms of healing, mindfulness, flow arts, yoga, dance, and art, Thrive Studios is a Wellness Center. Massage Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy, and Yoga are daily features. Gift certificates, and hand-crafted items for the body (essential body care, first aid, jewelry) and home (inspired paintings, wall hangings, centerpieces, journals) can be purchased at our Saturday Market Boutique.​

Andri Kukas, Proprietor – Licensed Massage Therapist, Certified Yoga Instructore

Andri spent her youth as an activist, volunteer, and community organizer for environmental non-profit organizations. As a young adult, she fell in love with dance forms such as Ballroom and Latin Dances. She spent 10 years training and performing Tribal-style Bellydance with Rakadu in Lexington, KY until she moved to Berea in 2003. Andri’s current past-times for pleasure involve physical movement. As a modern woman, she is a feminist who enjoys building community and helping people build their individual capacity. Professionally, Andri Kukas has a passion for health. During her college career, she volunteered in-hospital physical therapy clinics where she developed the love of helping people heal who have serious acute or chronic pain, physical injuries, and body limitations. This is still her focus as a massage therapist, yoga and dance instructor today.

 

  • pursued the 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification

  • graduated from the 700-hour program at the Lexington Healing Arts Academy to become Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork

  • Became a Licensed Massage Therapist in Kentucky, continually gaining 132+ hours in training for Craniosacral Therapy

  • Certified Reiki Master training

  • Trained in Swedish Massage (relaxation massage with oil)

  • Deep Tissue / Myofascial Release

  • Pregnancy Massage

  • Thai Massage

  • Craniosacral Therapy

 

She has lived and worked in Berea, KY for the past 16 years, Lexington the 10 prior, and spends her personal time devoted to the well being of her friends, family, and community. She has two children and a life-partner. Combining all her passions into one business location, she now offers them to community members and tourists as the proprietor of Thrive Studios in the Old Town Artisan Village in Berea, KY at 128 N. Broadway.
