Romana Kalova: Romi’s vision is to bring the heart of yoga and its true purpose as a way of finding happiness to you. She moved to Lexington from Chicago in May of 2008, where she lived since she came from the Czech Republic in 2004. She received her initial Hatha Yoga Teacher Training at the Temple of Kriya Yoga in Chicago and became a certified yoga instructor. Since the beginning of Romi's yogic path it has been a journey of healing and personal transformation and her experience led her to embark on an in-depth experiential study of yoga as a healing art with Joseph and Lilian Le Page and Integrative Yoga Therapy. She became a Certified Yoga Therapist, C-IAYT, recognized by International Association of Yoga Therapists. In 2015, she was led to visit India and in the traditional ashram setting in Rishikesh, the birthplace of yoga, she studied Sanskrit, Nada Yoga (Yoga of Sound), Bhakti (Yoga of Devotion), advanced subjects of mantra, and tanpura - the traditional Indian string instrument. She became certified in the Heart of Sound -the world's first 200 hour yoga teacher training based entirely on the transformational power of sound. In her classes, she teaches students to balance strength with inner softness, open the heart and mind, listen to the body, and uncover the quiet place of peace, wisdom, and happiness that lies within each of us. https://www.facebook.com/Yoga-with-Romi-132762720106080/
